Autobiographical Incident

When I was four, I moved from New York to California because my parents separated. My mom decided that she, my little brother, and I would move to my grandparents’ house in Los Angeles, California. My grandmother came and my brother and I flew back with her. I was scared because I was moving all the way across the country to a place I didn’t know very well. My mom stayed behind to settle things and move our belongings. It was difficult at first but I began to love California.
When I moved to California, I was so scared because it was probably the first major change in my life and wasn’t used to changes. California and New York are both busy cities, but in different way. I was used to the New York kind of busy so it was really different. It just made it a little harder. Moving really put changes for me in a new light. I can say that I learned that you don’t know if something good until you try it. I really did not want to leave my parents or New York. But California turned out to be pretty great.
One great thing to remember is to have an open mind. Be open to try new things. If you don’t, you might end up missing out on something that really would have liked. It could also make it harder to get used to changes. That’s why things were so hard for me at first. But moving from New York to California became one of the best things that ever happened to me and I will remember it for the rest of my life.

Kick-Off Question: September 12th

If I could write about anything, I would write about preforming arts. I think I would write about preforming arts because i've always had a love for them and I think they're amazing. There's so many things you can write about in the genre of preforming arts. So I would never have to run out of things to write about. That's pretty much what I would write about.

The Time I... Took my first dance class

When I was 6 I took my first ballet class. I was very excited to try something new. I got in line with all the other girls wearing pink leotards and slippers. We walked in and began the class. The teacher was really nice and taught us different ballet positions. The atmosphere was really inviting and it was a lot of fun.

That day was really important to me because it's the day I started dancing and I haven't stopped since then. It's my favorite thing to do and I hope to pursue it as a career.
